Position Details

  • Position: Content Development Specialist Intern (Remote)
  • Duration: 3 Months (extension & conversion based on performance)
  • Location: Work from Home* (Occasional Office Visits with Travel Allowances)
  • Stipend: 5000 INR per month
  • Letter of Recommendation: Provided upon successful completion

Responsibilities

Content Creation:

  • Develop well-researched articles, reports, and blog posts on various topics related to Jammu & Kashmir, PoK, political accountability, sustainability, and community initiatives.
  • Write compelling, clear, and engaging copy for various platforms, including the website, social media, newsletters, and job listings.
  • Contribute to long-form content, including investigative pieces and opinion articles, that highlight key regional issues.

Collaboration with Educational Institutions:

  • Work closely with professors and experts from various educational institutions to create insightful content based on research and data.
  • Collaborate on topics related to education, skill development, and regional challenges, ensuring the content is both accurate and valuable to the audience.

Content Strategy:

  • Help in developing content strategies that align with JKDaily’s goals of promoting unity, peace, sustainability, and regional growth.
  • Assist in identifying trending topics, issues, and challenges in Jammu & Kashmir and PoK that need to be addressed.
  • Conduct research to ensure the content remains current and relevant to the local community and global audience.

Content Review & Editing:

  • Review and edit content for accuracy, style, and tone to ensure it aligns with JKDaily’s brand identity and objectives.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the content complements visual designs, video projects, and social media campaigns.

Contribute to Community Initiatives:

  • Support community outreach by creating content that promotes regional unity, peace-building, and awareness about cultural and environmental issues.
  • Assist in crafting stories that highlight JKDaily’s contributions to sustainability, political accountability, and local job creation.

Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with digital content management systems (CMS) and basic SEO practices.
  • Experience in researching and writing about regional topics, social issues, or politics is a plus.

Creative Skills:

  • Ability to create content that resonates with a diverse audience, ensuring it's both informative and engaging.
  • Ability to simplify complex ideas into accessible and engaging formats.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a team.
  • Passionate about regional issues and committed to creating content that sparks positive change.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while adhering to deadlines.

Additional Requirements:

  • Familiarity with the socio-political environment of Jammu & Kashmir and PoK is a plus.
  • Previous writing or content development experience is highly desirable, especially for digital platforms.
